Simien Mountain National Park

Located northwest of Gondar covers an area of 400Sqkm has the most jagged peaks, craggy hills, deep gorges, and fascinating land escape on the continent. Ethiopia’s highest mountain Rad Dashen at 4620 is found here and makes the park a known hiking site for nature lovers. UNESCO recognized it in 1979 as a park for its natural beauty and the unique fauna and flora endemic both to the area and Ethiopia. The famous Photographer Rosetta Forbes eulogizes the Simien Mountains as the place where the Greek gods come to play chase.
